Irving, Tex.— Entrelec is now offering two compact, 45-mm wide, rail-mounted CPU modules for PLC systems. The S200 CPU creates a micro PLC for local applications when combined with the company’s flexible I/O modules. The S250 CPU, when combined with one of Entrelec’s fieldbus nodes, is used in remote locations where distributed intelligence is required to create a “smart node.” Both CPUs form a modular micro PLC by controlling up to 96 digital or 16 analog I/O points, and up to 4 PID loops. Both CPU modules feature built-in EEPROM memory and have full operator interface capability. An RS-232 interface port allows programming from any PLC using IEC 1131-3 software.
