CPX connects standard instruments to fieldbus

Hauppauge, NY—Festo's CPX modular electrical terminal uses different configurable modules to connect traditional I/O devices to DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, Interbus, CANOpen, and CC-Link fieldbuses. Devices with standard analog interfaces can be monitored and controlled using 0-10 V, 0-20 mA, and 4-20mA analog input/output modules.

Hauppauge, NY- Festo's CPX modular electrical terminal uses different configurable modules to connect traditional I/O devices to DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, Interbus, CANOpen, and CC-Link fieldbuses. Devices with standard analog interfaces can be monitored and controlled using 0-10 V, 0-20 mA, and 4-20mA analog input/output modules. Each module can be parameterized, including different data formats. Protection is achieved through integrated electronic fuses. CPX system construction is a sandwich of functional layers consisting of an interlinking (base) block, electronics (intermediate) module, and connection (top) block. Interlinking blocks support serial communications between modules and separate electronics and sensor power. An optional power supply is available for powering actuators.
