One of the nation's major mission-critical design firms, New York City-based EYP MCF, reports that it is ushering in a new era of reliability with the formal establishment of Critical Facilities Consulting (CFC).

Firm officials report that the impetus behind the launch of the CFC division is driven by significant changes taking place within the mission critical industry. Data centers are now viewed as a single operation spanning an entire enterprise, rather than independent sub-systems, as they were viewed in the past. EYP MCF's organizational change and creation of Critical Facilities Consulting is to address the inevitable convergence of infrastructure and informational technology.

“In order to sustain and strengthen our position as one of the leading worldwide mission critical firms, we are evolving our strategic technology planning, design and operational services. The mission critical industry is dynamic and ever changing. The inclusion of CFC into our consulting services allows us to holistically respond to our clients' current and future needs,” said Steve Einhorn, chairman and president of EYP Mission Critical Facilities.

Accounting for all elements of assuring operational continuity, explained Einhorn, provides EYP MCF clients with an integrated and holistic data center strategy driven toward a highly efficient enterprise, meeting business requirements, assuring availability, while minimizing capital, operating and energy costs.

In addition to early stage master planning services, Critical Facility Consulting services also include forensic services for identifying and solving gaps and deficiencies, network design, relocations, design for virtual environments, migration services and disaster recovery/business continuity planning. The addition of CFC compliments the company's other service divisions—Critical Facilities Design and Critical Facilities Assurance—to offer a total mission critical facility life-cycle package of services to the firm's public and private clients.
