Savanna, GA Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) has new leadership. Ed Diehl, Concept Systems executive director and co-founder, took the position of CSIA Executive Board chair on May 1 at the organization’s 15th annual conference in Savannah, GA. He replaces Bob Zeigenfuse, whose term as chairperson expired.


Ed Diehl, Concept Systems executive director and co-founder, is the CSIA Executive Board chair for the 2008-2009 term.

Concept Systems, Albany, Oregon, has been a CSIA member since 2005, and Diehl previously served as the chair of the membership committee. The executive board has seven individuals.
Joining Diehl on the board for the 2008-2009 year are: Brian Beaufeaux, Industrial Automation Engineering Inc., Ham Lake, MN; Jim Campbell, Viewpoint Systems Inc., Rochester, NY; Steve Goldberg, Matrix Technologies Inc., Maumee, OH; John Justus, Bay-Tec Engineering Inc., Napa, CA; and Dean Streck, VI Engineering Inc., Farmington Hills, MI.
Concept Systems, also a CSIA Certified Member, is a 10-year control system integrator. The company was named

Control Engineering “2007 System Integrator of the Year.”


Diehl, who has nearly two decades’ experience in the industrial automation and information technology fields, holds bachelor’s and master’s of science degrees, with a focus on control systems and smart product design, from Stanford University.
CSIA, based in Exton, PA, with more than 260 system integrator members and 64 partner members, says it is the largest organization in the world for system integrators. CSIA says its mission is to “serve the industrial controls industry by setting the standards of performance for control system integrators, and to ensure that system integrators are as good at running their business as they are with the technology.”
