CSIA, the Control System Integrators Association, reorganized its website to deliver more information for consumers of control system integration services. In doing so it also made public its CSIA certification audit criteria, available with registration to the community section of the site.

The goal, according to Bob Lowe, CSIA executive director, is to "advance the integrator profession by increasing awareness of the profession and the value of retaining a certified control system integrator." By sharing new material about best practices on the site, the organization hopes to give system integrators the "tools to help distinguish your firm and certification during the procurement process," Lowe says.

As for the audit criteria, Low suggested that sharing that information with CSIA members’ clients (end-users) will help explain how the audit improves an integrator’s technical ability and business practices. www.controlsys.org

CSIA’s reorganized site includes a community area with the CSIA certification audit criteria.
