CSIA: next-term system integrator leaders, 12% membership gain

Control System Integrators Association announced new leadership at its 2011 annual conference in April and noted a 12% gain in CSIA membership during the past year. Stephen M. Goldberg was elected to a three-year term as chairman. Link to more CSIA news.

Stephen M. Goldberg was elected to a three-year term CSIA chairman at the CSIA 2011 Executive Conference.Control System Integrators Association announced new leadership at its 2011 annual conference in April and noted a 12% gain in Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) members during the past year.

Stephen M. Goldberg was elected to a three-year term as chairman. Goldberg succeeds Ed Diehl, who completed his term in April. Links with other CSIA news follow below.

New directors elected to the board at the CSIA 2011 Executive Conference, April 27-30, in Orlando, are:

  • Eduardo Acosta, chief executive officer, Omnicon S.A., Cali, Colombia;
  • Richard Brueggman, president and chief executive officer, Data Science Automation, Pittsburgh, Penn.; and 
  • Sam Hoff, president, Patti Engineering, Inc., Auburn Hills, Mich.

Goldberg is director of information technologies at Matrix Technologies, Inc., a Certified CSIA member based near Toledo, Ohio.  Among his top goals is to increase recognition of CSIA with end users.

“We want CSIA to be the first resource companies turn to when looking for help with system integration challenges,” Goldberg said. “As part of this effort, we hope to build the reputation of the organization and acceptance of the CSIA certification program as the way to optimize the results for any system integration project.”

During Diehl’s term, CSIA membership grew by more than 12% and increased the association’s presence in the international control systems integration community. Diehl is co-CEO and vice president of engineering and operations at Concept Systems Inc., a Certified Control System Integrator headquartered in Albany, Ore.
