Courtesy: Applimotion Inc.Applimotion offers custom drive motor systems with precision encoders and bearings in unique packages. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have used Applimotion ULT, UTH, UTS, and UTO frameless motor kits for designing direct drive systems. Applimotion now offers design engineering services to incorporate these frameless motor kits into application-specific direct drive motors.

Whether a system needs special mechanical requirements, special sealing, Autoclave heat cycles, or another harsh environment, Applimotion can create a solution with one of its frameless motor kits inside. Applimotion engineers can provide guidance through the selection of feedback, bearings, and precision mechanical attributes.

Direct drive motors are finding their way into many new applications as designers see the advantages in reliability, precision, and performance, compared to traditional solutions. If a direct-drive motor is the right solution, but don’t have the resources in house, Applimotion can create an affordable direct drive solution that fits the application.

Applimotion Inc., located in Loomis, CA, makes brushless motors and motor components. Applimotion engineers can create application specific motors for low-volume performance-driven application, produced at its CA facility, or using high-volume value-driven off-shore manufactured motors.

Case Study Database

Get more exposure for your case study by uploading it to the Control Engineering case study database, where end-users can identify relevant solutions and explore what the experts are doing to effectively implement a variety of technology and productivity related projects.

These case studies provide examples of how knowledgeable solution providers have used technology, processes and people to create effective and successful implementations in real-world situations. Case studies can be completed by filling out a simple online form where you can outline the project title, abstract, and full story in 1500 words or less; upload photos, videos and a logo.

Poll of the Week

Are your industrial networks well defended against cyber attacks?
Like Fort Knox. Solid defense in depth.
Well defended, I think, but not positive.
Working on it, but not there yet.
Few defenses, but who would find us?
We’re wide open, living on borrowed time.
