Eaton Corp. announced June 19 that its Cutler-Hammer (C-H) division has formed a partnership with Canary Labs (Martinsburg, Pa.) to provide advanced trending software for C-H’s new PanelMate ePro line of human-machine interface (HMI) platforms. Canary’s Trend Viewer software allows PanelMate users to access and analyze data. Trend Viewer also provides tools for customization of trend display formats.

“Coupling the ePro’s Ethernet communications and OPC support with Canary Lab’s software provides a higher level of functionality and performance, and offers users a world-class trending application solution,” says Mira Gearhart, C-H’s HMI business unit manager. “Until now, users had to invest in a much more costly, complicated supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software solution to get these features.”
