Schaefer's MTQZ50 Series by Minmax is a 50 W dc-dc converter designed specifically for mission critical transit and railway solutions.
The MTQZ50 Series is designed for applications in the railway industry requesting compliance to railway standards EN50155(IEC751) and EN50121-3-2. The converter family consists of single output models offering 5, 12, 15 and 24 V dc outputs with input voltages of either 72 (43-101) V dc or 110 (66-160) V dc. Each model is capable of delivering up to 50 W of power in an aluminum case quarter-brick footprint 2.28-in. x 1.45-in. x 0.50-in. (57.9 x 36.8 x 12.7 mm) with an isolated baseplate.
The MTQZ50 series features advanced circuit topology that allows for an efficiency rate up to 92% and an operating temperature range of -40 C to +85 C. For improved heat dissipation, an optional heat sink is available. Standard features include reinforced insulation of 3000 V ACrms, remote on/off control, under-voltage shutdown as well as overload and over-temperature protection.
