Lantronix, Inc. has announced an enhanced Software Development Kit (SDK) for its 32-bit MatchPort products to provide a development environment for creating custom applications for Lantronix’ products. The release builds on the company’s MatchPort AR developer’s kit, which was released in March, by incorporating wireless support for the secure, embedded wireless networking module MatchPort b/g Pro. MatchPort SDK adds support for 802.11 technology, including the ability to monitor the status, signal strength, and connection type of existing wireless local area networks (WLANs). It features active scanning for available access points and can configure multiple WLAN profiles. SDK grants access to the Evolution application programming interface (API), which allows developers to customize and enhance the operating system. CodeSourcery’s Sourcery G++, a complete GNU-based development ecosystem, and a trial version of the Eclipse-based IDE (integrated developer environment) are included in the kit. www.lantronix.com Lantronix
