CyberPad Series of digital notepads and PC tablets from Adesso Inc . captures notes, sketches, and edits as simply as a traditional paper notepad. Product is said to alleviate the need to manage multiple devices such as PDAs, digital cameras, and notebook PCs. It stores exact reproductions of notes or graphics in real time, and includes a clip to accommodate all standard letter-sized paper pads.
Device includes 32 MB of internal memory, which provides 26 directories (A-Z) with 99 pages available in each. It can be expanded with the integrated SD (secure digital) slot, which can also act as an SD card reader. It connects to a PC over USB to instantly transfer and manage notes and images.
CyberPad can convert into a PC tablet to accommodate a variety of applications, including CAD/CAM. Other emerging applications include Internet whiteboard graphics, signature verification for e-commerce, and handwriting and text conversion. The notepad is bundled with a suite of software for capturing and organizing notes and includes editing software for revising and enhancing text and graphics and saving files in shareable .jpg, .bmp, of .gif formats. CyberPad is priced at $199.99.
