Display/recorder: Upgraded line offers new device data history functions
Sirec display recorder units (D200 and D400 shown) provide full color data display, logging, communicating, and archiving.
In some applications, it is useful to have the ability to record and visualize data from a small group of instruments in a process. Sometimes this brings together individual readouts into one functional group, or it may supplement larger data gathering tasks performed by a DCS. Siemens has replaced its Sirec DS, DM, and DH recorders with a new group, designated Sirec D200, D300, and D400.
This family offers a range of input counts, plus more current communication formats:
Ethernet, RS485, and USB connectivity;
Local operation via touchscreen or remotely via Web browser;
High scanning rates to capture fast signal changes;
Modbus Master and OPC functionality built in;
Color TFT display; and,
Functions and logged data password protected.
D200: 3 to 12 analog channels and up to 8 digital channels with 5 in. display.
D300: 0 to 16 analog channels and up to 16 digital channels with 5.5 in. display.
D400: 0 to 48 analog channels and up to 48 digital channels with 12 in. display.
Sirec software provides setup functions, including parameter setting, real time display, evaluation, and archiving.
With larger channel counts, one of these units can record data for all the instrumentation for a small process unit or segment.
