Drive improves power quality

E7 18-pulse drive system (25-500 hp) is designed for HVAC applications that require low total harmonic distortion (THD). Product has lower THD and EMI/RFI emissions to meet or exceed existing power quality standards. Design limits THD at the drive input terminals to less than 8% current distortion and less than 3% voltage distortion.

Motor protection features resulting from low-noise/low-carrier technology provide for longer lead lengths without additional motor protection devices. Communications for popular building automation protocols are embedded in the drive. Optional LonWorks interface card is available. Drive also includes a built-in LCD keypad with hand/off/auto functions, a copy feature, seven language choices, and 5 lines of display. www.yaskawa.com Yaskawa Electric America
