Austin, TX — Yaskawa Electric , a manufacturer of ac inverter drives, servo and motion control, and robotics automation systems, developed a driver for National Instruments’ LabView graphical programming environment.
The driver allows users to create motion profiles in LabView running on a standard PC with Microsoft Windows XP for simple point-to-point moves in test and measurement, lab automation, and other applications. The driver is said to combine the power of LabView via a PCI communication card running Mechatrolink, a digital servo network, to Yaskawa’s family of ac servo drives and motors. This enables the LabView user to have full use of a range of servo products from 10W to 75kW.
Yaskawa is based in Waukegan, IL.
