ETXexpress-CD computer-on-module (COM) integrates the new Intel Core Duo processor and is designed in accordance with PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers’ Group (PICMG) COM Express standard for basic form factor modules (95 x 125 mm). It is said to fulfill the requirement of future-focused embedded applications that demand exceptionally high performance levels. Core Duo processors allow for up to 80% performance increase over single-core technology. Features include 5x PCI Express x1 lanes and 1x Gigabit Ethernet plus legacy support for PCI plus LPC, 8x USB 2.0, 2x Serial ATA, and 1x Parallel ATA interfaces.
