DVT buys MTI Machine Vision to grow in semiconductor industry

Duluth, GA; Providence, RI—DVT Corp. recently completed its acquisition of MTI Machine Vision LLC, which produces semiconductor wafer reading algorithms.

Duluth, GA; Providence, RI— DVT Corp. recently completed its acquisition of MTI Machine Vision LLC, which produces semiconductor wafer reading algorithms. DVT also bought the rights to MTI’s machine vision software products and intellectual property, as well as other related assets. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.

“This action will position DVT to deliver world-class products and global support to customers in the semiconductor sector,” says Bob Steinke, DVT’s chairman and CEO. “The combination of MTI’s algorithm library and DVT’s hardware and software interface will establish a new standard in low-cost, high-performance inspection.”

DVT reports that it’s a global leader in general purpose machine vision systems and offers the widest range of smart camera products in the industry.
