APR-3100N, Antaira TechnologiesThe APR-3100N from Antaira Technologies combines a network router and wireless access point into a single unit that has been designed to thrive in harsh industrial environments. This device is IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n compliant, working on either the 2.4- or 5-GHz band, which also utilizes MIMO technology, supporting a transfer rate of up to 300 Mbps. The APR-3100N supports the standard layer 3 configuration setting, which is able to provide security, firewall and NAT capabilities. Antaira's APR-3100 series features an intuitive web based interface to allow the end user to easily configure the unit with drop-down menus and checkmark boxes.

Antaira's APR-3100N, supports VPN connections. A virtual private network (VPN) allows users to create a secure encrypted "tunnel" across a public network such as the Internet. This is useful for applications such as connecting two geographically separate locations on a single network, allowing access to resources or equipment. A VPN connection is useful for creating a secure link into an enterprise network, without requiring the IT department to open a path which could potentially compromise the security of the network.

The APR-3100N is housed within an industrial IP30 metal enclosure that includes both DIN-Rail and wall mounting hardware. This device has been designed for extreme temperature environments ranging from -30 to 70 C. Antaira's unit is backed by an industry leading 5-year warranty, as well as, free live technical support.
