Equipped with quad design, CMX Outdoor, Power Limited Tray Cables (PLTC) and a full range of other Underwriters Laboratories (UL) ratings, Belden’s Cat 5e Profinet Type C trailing cable provides a unique, all-in-one solution for Profinet system users in the Americas. This cable is designed for continuous flex applications and makes it easier to install the network and maximize uptime, even in the most demanding indoor or outdoor environments.

In addition, the new Profinet cable is compliant with Profinet specifications, making it the best Profinet cabling product on the market with the highest flex ratings. The PLTC rating specifically allows the cable to be run in existing cable trays with other power limited cables, with no separate routing needed, and allows it to be installed in Class I Division II hazardous areas. With these ratings, network engineers can better insure their networks against hazards and harsh conditions, reducing risk and maximizing both network efficiency and reliability for mission critical applications.

Other versions of this cable on the market only offer one or two of these features. Belden’s Profinet Type C cable includes a ruggedized TPE jacket, combined with a quad design and PLTC and CMX Outdoor UL ratings, making it suitable for high flex applications. Its weld splatter resistance and ability to handle up to 5 million flexes makes the new cabling an especially appropriate fit for on-machine and robotic applications.
