The DT9824/DT8824 is a highly accurate (24-bit) resolution USB or Ethernet data acquisition instrument module for test and measurement. This is a Control Engineering 2011 Engineers' Choice (EC) Honorable Mention.
The DT9824 (USB version) and DT8824 (Ethernet(LXI) version) is an ultra-high resolution data acquisition module for test and measurement. The highly accurate front-end design allows users to simultaneously sample up to 4 fully isolated 24-bit inputs, guaranteeing complete signal measurement protection from all environmental or system noise. The modules deliver measurement results previously unachievable without on-board proprietary ISO-Channel protection. Each analog input is galvanically isolated from any other input, and has its own return path; 1000V isolation between any input channel to any other input channel and ±500V to earth ground further enhances noise immunity. The benefit to the user is total isolation of all input/outputs from each other and from digital ground. Product is ideal for applications where accuracy and stability are paramount.
In addition to 24-bit resolution, a full feature set includes: Optional signal sampling ranges of ±10V with programmable gains of 1, 8, 16, and 32; Software and external trigger maintains timely and efficient sampling; Single-value and continuous conversion modes provide input flexibility; 16 (8 in, 8 out) opto-isolated digital lines for correlating measurements; Software and external trigger maintains timely and efficient sampling; Input buffer offers continuous wrap mode and no wrap mode. Both USB for portable measurement and Ethernet(LXI) versions for remote monitoring are available. It includes comprehensive software CD for making measurements quickly and easily.
