The EXPC-1519 panel computer integrates desktop PC performance and extremely rugged design for mission-critical operations where onsite control and visibility is imperative. Its 19-in. LCD capacitive multi-touch screen is sunlight viewable and can be operated with riggers gloves. In addition, customized cable glands allow for highly flexible I/O arrangements that simplify field installations of any kind.

The EXPC-1519 is fast. The high-performance 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-3555LE processor provides the EXPC-1519 with enterprise-grade computing horsepower that can run state-of-the-art SCADA applications, bringing the control room to the field level.

The EXPC-1519 is tough. Advanced thermodynamic engineering ensures rock-solid operation in temperatures from -40 to 70 C, without any cooling fans or vents. Even in extreme cold, the EXPC-1519 boots up immediately and does not employ or require an internal heating system. In addition, the unit has achieved some of the toughest industrial certifications (NEMA 4X/IP66) and is in the process of obtaining more (Class 1 Division 2, ATEX Zone 2, IECEx).

The EXPC-1519 is reliable. With no heating or cooling elements and no moving parts, the EXPC-1519 greatly reduces power consumption and potential points of failure, allowing it to achieve exceptionally high reliability and stability. The dual ac/dc power supply and optional 100 M fiber optic connection also help ensure uninterrupted operation and communication, and the hardware self-diagnostic tool helps users minimize downtime and operational losses by reporting system health status to the control center.

While some of these features are present individually in other panel computers, only the EXPC-1519 combines them into a single unit, without any of the compromises in performance or reliability that other manufacturers are forced to make. The combination of raw computing horse power and highly reliable operation under the harshest conditions make the EXPC-1519 a truly compelling offering for hazardous area operators.
