FactoryTalk AssetCentre provides manufacturers with a centralized tool for securing, managing, tracking and reporting automation-related asset information across their entire enterprise. Perhaps most importantly, it can do this automatically, with limited additional management oversight or work from employees, which contributes to time and cost savings. FactoryTalk AssetCentre can help improve uptime, productivity, quality, employee safety and ease regulatory compliance. The scalable design of FactoryTalk AssetCentre allows for easy expansion of assets and extensible (add-on) capabilities, it's adaptable from small-line applications to plantwide installations. It is built on a server that provides common base functions and extendable add-on capabilities that help manufacturers leverage certain functions for specific automation asset types. It is this integrated and modular design that lets the system grow as business goals and production needs change.
FactoryTalk AssetCentre provides tools to centrally track and manage not only the configuration changes that occur in a facility, but also the people who are able to perform these functions. The entire breadth of the base server functions can assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting and reduce the time needed to maintain your production assets. The base server functions include: source control, audits, events, reporting, scheduler, and security. An evolving set of add-on capabilities also are available to help manufacturers extend the value of their systems and optimize their investments, including: disaster recovery, calibration management, and process device configuration. The latest version of FactoryTalk AssetCentre includes: Process Device Configuration - a software tool for managing configuration data for process devices; Remote Computer - the capability to back up and verify the contents of a specified shared folder on a computer in the system.
