The latest release of FactoryTalk Batch 12.0 software from Rockwell Automation removes the risks associated with manually managing recipe changes. The upgraded software, which tightly integrates with the PlantPAx process automation system from Rockwell Automation, eases the process of modifying and creating new recipes by tracking the genealogy of recipes and managing the approval process for changes. It also includes a security-authority binding feature to help industrial process operators protect their intellectual property.

New version-control capabilities allow the software to preserve and lock recipes from changes, automatically storing each recipe version to easily trace genealogy. This structured approach provides approval traceability and allows quality control managers to easily manage recipes—saving time previously spent manually backing up files for each recipe change. The software also provides standard reports with vital actionable information to help manage recipes throughout their life cycle.

FactoryTalk Batch software provides solutions ranging from small, basic sequencing to large, complex batch and sequencing applications.
