EC: Fluke Ti29 Industrial-Commercial Thermal Imager
Hardware – Handheld test, measurement, calibration: The Fluke Ti29 thermal imager detects heat patterns or temperature changes in objects, allowing the user to discover problems prior to costly downtime, or to monitor developing problems so maintenance can be scheduled during a planned downtime or when budget is available. This is a Control Engineering 2012 Engineers’ Choice (EC) finalist.
Designed for industrial and commercial environments, the Fluke Ti29 Thermal Imager is a balance between performance and price. With powerful 280-by-210 IR resolution, superior spatial resolution, and a high-definition display, the Ti29 delivers crisp, high-quality images. With its rugged body, integrated lens cover, protected display, and 2-m drop test, the Ti29 is designed to handle the harshest environments.
With a push of a thumb, users can go from one-handed manual smart focus to adding picture-in-picture and even comments in their own voice. The Ti29 features patented Fluke IR-Fusion technology that captures infrared and visible light images and simultaneously displays them fused together to better diagnose issues. It has multiple viewing modes and allows users to manipulate images right on the camera's display. By enabling users to manage and analyze images with complete control over both the infrared and visible light spectrums, IR-Fusion makes it easier to identify details and potential problems. It has optional interchangeable wide-angle and IR-Fusion-enabled telephoto lenses to cover any application.
Fluke SmartView professional IR analysis and reporting software is included with each thermal imager with unlimited licenses and free lifetime upgrades. The modular suite of tools for viewing, annotating, editing, and analyzing infrared images enables users to edit images in five viewing modes and generate customized professional reports in a few steps using its report wizard.
