EC: HF-JP series servo motors
Motion Control - motors Mitsubishi Electric Automation Inc.: HF-JP series servo motors The manufacturing technology of HF-JP series motors make more compact, higher speed, more torque compared to previous HA-LP series motors. This is a Control Engineering 2011 Engineers' Choice (EC) Honorable Mention.
Small-Sized, High-efficiency Servomotor HF-JP Series - Mitsubishi Electric is at the forefront of technologies improving the efficiency of electrical energy generation. Mitsubishi has developed low inertia and high speed servo motors using joint wrap core technology. With joint wrap, the iron core is split like a hinge, allowing coils to be wrapped around the core more densely, resulting in improved motor efficiency and compactness. It produces a high-density magnetic field for compact motors which conserves energy. Thanks to this technology, using flier winding machines, it is possible to manufacture high speed, high density motors, in less manufacturing space.
The HF-JP series is a low inertia, high speed servo motor having a rated speed of 3000r/min and maximum speed of 6000 r/min. As compared to the previous model HC-LP series, HF-JP series motors are 68% smaller in size and weigh 64% less. With new winding technology, the peak torque of the motor has also been increased to 400%. With these motors there is no longer a need to select a larger size motor to accommodate faster acceleration speeds. Ripple torques have been reduced by increasing the precision of the inner diameter of the stator compared with that of conventional manufacturing technology. HF-JP series motors are equipped with a newly developed small-sized optical absolute encoder.
The HF-JP series motors are well suited for high-throughput positioning and high acceleration/deceleration, due to the use of internal magnets, which strengthen the rotor structure and allow for higher speeds up to 6000r/min, making them suitable for packaging and printing machines. The HF-JP series will be compatible with global standards EN, UL and c-UL.
With these motors machine makers can build compact, high efficiency, high speed machines.
