EC: Honeywell Industrial Cyber Security Risk Manager

Software - Diagnostics: Honeywell Industrial Cyber Security Risk Manager is the first solution to proactively monitor, measure and manage industrial cyber security risk all through an easy-to-use interface. This is a Control Engineering 2016 Engineers’ Choice finalist.

Honeywell Industrial Cyber Security Risk Manager, Honeywell Process SolutionsHoneywell Industrial Cyber Security Risk Manager is the first solution to proactively monitor and measure cyber security risks at process manufacturing sites. In real-time, it identifies computer and network risks, and displays complex vulnerabilities in a format understandable to those even without cyber security experience. This enables control room operators in various industrial settings to efficiently assess security controls and address specific threats.

This is important as cyber security concerns continue to grow, especially for industrial sites. According to a 2014 Ipsos survey, two-thirds of 5,000 respondents believed that the oil and gas, as well as chemical and power industries, were particularly vulnerable to attacks. Cyber Security Risk Manager abates those concerns by approaching threat mitigation in a new way.

Through the constant analysis of trends in industrial cyber security risks, Cyber Security Risk Manager anticipates threats to detect potential problems before they cause costly damage. It also enables users to create customized risk notification alerts and perform detailed threat and vulnerability analyses so they can focus on managing risks that are most important for reliable plant operations.

Overall, Cyber Security Risk Manager is a simple and effective tool that transforms everyday plant operators into vigilant cyber security experts by providing them with optimal visibility into ongoing threats.
