The MR-J4-GF-RJ Servo Drive with CC-Link IE Field motion applications ranging from simple point to point operations to advanced synchronous control via the gigabit Ethernet-based CC-Link IE Field network. The gigabit Ethernet-based CC-Link IE Field network provides 10x the speed 100Mbps networks such as EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet for higher performance. This higher network speed improves noise immunity compared to other industrial Ethernet solutions due to the built-in frame redundancy.

The up to 120 MR-J4-GF-RJ servos or other devices can be connected the CC-Link IE Field network. Up to 32 of these servos can operate in Motion Mode, allowing fully synchronized control between the axes, including camming, gearing, and interpolated moves. Additional axes can operate in I/O Mode, using the built-in positioning function within the servo drive. When combined with the MR-D30 Safety Function Module and safety CPU, the MR-J4-GF-RJ servo drive supports safety functions up to SIL 3 Category 4 over the network with no additional wiring.

The MR-J4 series of servo drives feature advanced One-Touch Auto-Tuning that sets gains and filters in real-time. Over the life cycle of the machine, continuous tuning optimizes gains to minimize settling time and eliminate positioning errors. Vibration Tough Drive feature automatically reacts to changes in machine resonance frequencies, reducing wear and tear on mechanical components. As mechanical components wear, the machine diagnosis function will detect changes in machine parts (ball screw, guide, bearing, belts) and changes in the vibration of the system. Corrections will be automatically applied while notifying the user that machine characteristics have changed.
