The MR-J4-TM Multi-Network Servo Drive combines the industry-leading performance of the MR-J4 family of servos with common industrial Ethernet protocols including EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, and Profinet. One-Touch Auto-Tuning provides optimum performance with no tuning experience necessary. The real time adaptive auto-tuning continues to modify tuning parameters as equipment wears, ensuring peak OEE over the life of the machine. Advanced Vibration Suppression Control II suppresses vibration on both the load and machine base. Combined with the 2.5 kHz speed frequency response, the drive is able to shorten settling time. The 4,194,304 pulse per revolution absolute encoder provides high accuracy for positioning and synchronized motion.

The EtherCAT interface features the standard IEC61158 Type12 CAN application protocol over EtherCAT (CoE), IEC61800-7 CiA402 drive profile, for excellent compatibility with a wide range of controllers.

The EtherNet/IP interface is easily controlled via free add-on instructions (AOIs) when using ControlLogix or CompactLogix controllers from Rockwell Automation. These add-on instructions simplify migration to the superior performance of the MR-J4 series servos.

The Profinet interface features an RT Class 1 interface for positioning, velocity, and torque control modes as well as 20 drive-based homing methods.

Additional features include dual 100BASE-TX Ethernet ports for maximum flexibility in wiring layout and a built in 2-channel touch probe function for accurate position capture with up to 2 µs resolution.
