EC: Power Xpert Insight
Software - Diagnostics: Power Xpert Insight is a monitoring software that helps customers proactively reduce energy consumption, control costs, and improve the reliability of their facilities by providing a comprehensive, real-time view into power and energy information. This is a Control Engineering 2014 Engineers’ Choice finalist.
Focused on power and energy monitoring, Power Xpert Insight's customer-centric interface was developed after extensive user testing, and the system is designed to be both easy to use and easy to install. Out-of-the-box, Power Xpert Insight allows customers to view and filter detailed device information, easily manage alarms, and view and compare trend data. It is designed to scale easily from a small school or data center to a global manufacturing operation, providing greater value over time.
Adding a new device to Power Xpert Insight only takes a few clicks to incorporate it into a system. Then a drag-and-drop feature allows users to easily add the device to their one-line, real-time graphical representations of energy demand and usage. Power Xpert Insight can also be configured and updated offline using an Excel spreadsheet template, allowing for efficient updates.
Power Xpert Insight also provides a concise summary of all device alarms that allows users to manage from one central location, and proactively and predictively address issues. Users can conveniently and quickly export trend graphs, waveforms and other essential data to take action immediately if problems should arise.
In addition to viewing real-time energy demand and usage data across an entire facility, Power Xpert Insight's trend viewer allows users to view and compare trends from any number of channels across all devices. This capability provides long-term benefits by allowing users to develop and maintain budgets, extend equipment life, spot and reduce potential problems, and reduce energy costs.
