Power - Energy, power protection: PS6R power supplies preserve valuable panel space while at the same time providing much needed flexibility and safety to any application. This is a Control Engineering 2014 Engineers’ Choice finalist.Highly-efficient and ultra-compact, PS6R power supplies offer a built-in expansion slot that allows use of dc-dc converters, letting users add 5- and 12-V outputs with a simple plug-in module. It's like having three power supplies in one.

DC-dc converter expansion modules and branch terminal expansion modules eliminate the need for multiple power supplies in a cabinet, and give designers greater flexibility in cabinet layout. PS6R power supplies also conserve panel space thanks to a compact and flexible design. At 85 mm wide, this 480 W power supply takes up less space than most 240 W power supplies, making it ideal for applications where high-output power is required but panel space is limited. Combined with a high efficiency of up to 93%, PS6R power supplies also generate less heat, which potentially reduces the need for fans or other cabinet cooling devices.

An indicator alarm contact (NPN transistor) on PS6R power supplies closes when the output voltage has fallen below 80%, a necessity for critical processes and applications. These power supplies are designed for any industrial application or machine where reliable dc power (even in multiple voltages) is required. Available in 120-, 240-, and 480-W versions, the PS6R is also parallel-capable for increased power. This makes them ideal for machine tools, hydraulic presses, waste water treatment facilities and more. Plus PS6R conform to all global standards, are UL listed, TUV approved and CE marked to comply with both EMC and LVD directives.

PS6R power supplies preserve valuable panel space while at the same time providing much needed flexibility and safety to any application.
