Designed to increase flexibility, safety, efficiency, and productivity at the plant floor level, these compact devices are characterized by minimal space requirements, telecontrol capability and integrated technology modules for measuring, weighing and counting, so that no other special modules are required. Integrated diagnostics further increase uptime.

Standardized engineering with the most versatile Step 7 Safety Basic in the TIA Portal, for easy creation of fail-safe programs. Functionalities include drag-and-drop, project-wide cross-reference list, safety administration editor, online/offline comparator and more. The Simatic S7-1200F is certified to EN 61508, up to SIL 3 according to IEC 62061 and PL e according to ISO 13849. Also integrated is optimized security, copy, manipulation protection and also includes password protection set up for F-configuration and F-program for IT security. Maximum performance with shortest possible machine response times for enhanced productivity. The Simatic S7-1200F delivers the ultimate plus in productivity and efficiency, in the smallest package size, also providing easy reproducibility of the control cabinet.
