This is a Control Engineering 2014 Engineers’ Choice finalist.VIPA breaks ground with its new compact SLIO PLC. It is uniquely configurable to the exact CPU you really need.

Nothing more, nothing less. This PLC will reduce your cost, time and PLC inventory.

You select the new VIPA SLIO PLC from only two hardware versions. Then you will have 24 configuration possibilities to create exactly your PLC, which suits your application.

All that is required is a VIPA SD Card that will unlock the memory (up to 512 kb) and fieldbus connections (MPI, PROFIBUS, PROFINET). It just works.

Meanwhile, utilize your know-how by programming with Step7 SIMATIC Manager or TIA Portal from Siemens. No learning curve, only cost-savings. Last but not least, the CPU used for the SLIO PLC is the same CPU used in our world-renowned high-speed 300S PLC system.
