SWD-Assist helps original equipment manufacturers simplify planning, testing and commissioning of switching and control circuit devices incorporated in a SmartWire-DT TM system network. This is a Control Engineering 2013 Engineers' Choice finalist. The SmartWire-DT panel wiring system is designed to dramatically reduce assembly and commissioning time. Replacing numerous wires used to connect motor control components with a single cable, the SmartWire-DT system reduces panel wiring complexity by connecting to starters, contactors, pushbuttons, pilot lights, selector switches, relays, and input/output modules

A free download, the powerful SWD-Assist planning and commissioning software helps customers configure the SmartWire-DTTM network layout to simplify construction logistics by addressing required parts and control power requirements. Configurations can be saved and reused for additional projects. Additionally, SWD-Assist enables the first test of the switchboard installation to be performed without installing a programmable logic controller (PLC).

Poll of the Week

Are your industrial networks well defended against cyber attacks?
Like Fort Knox. Solid defense in depth.
Well defended, I think, but not positive.
Working on it, but not there yet.
Few defenses, but who would find us?
We’re wide open, living on borrowed time.
