EC: The ESR5 Relay for safety circuits

The Eaton ESR5 safety relay is engineered to monitor safety circuits and is a key enhancement to the safety of equipment designed specifically for OEMs. The ESR5 is designed to reliably monitor the signals from safety devices and switch off quickly in an emergency. With redundant features, it is engineered for the construction of safety applications. The ESR5 is compatible with a range of safety devices, including emergency stops, rope pulls, two-hand control stations, and others. In the event of a fault or activation of the safety device, the enable paths are switched off. The ESR5 detects faults that occur in the control circuit, including ground fault, cross connection fault, or wire breakage. It is available in single- and dual-channel versions.

Rated for global applications, the ESR5 safety relay is designed in accordance with EN 954-1, ISO 13849-1, IEC 62061, and IEC 61508. The ESR5 also meets UL 508, CSA, and CE standards and certifications. It is rated by TV Rheinland for use in safety applications.
