The UHR304 four-port industrial grade USB hub, which supports full-speed data rates of 12 Mbps while isolating upstream ports from downstream ports, includes many ruggedized features that differentiate it from standard office-grade USB hubs. This is a Control Engineering 2012 Engineers’ Choice finalist.The UHR304 is a four-port industrial grade USB hub from B+B Electronics that supports full-speed data rates of 12 Mbps while isolating the upstream ports from the downstream ports. The hub’s many ruggedized features make it a better choice for harsh industrial, instrumentation, and even in-vehicle applications than standard office-grade USB hubs. Its 4,000 V isolation meets EN60601 for medical applications. It operates over a wide temperature range (-40 C to 80 C), is highly resistant to shock and vibration, and includes ESD surge protection and high-retention USB connectors that won’t shake loose. The all-metal case offers seven flexible mounting options: on a DIN rail, panel, or other flat surfaces with the included brackets. It offers redundant power; wire it through the terminal block or connect it with the locking barrel jack (isolated medical-grade power supply sold separately). It’s also USB 1.1 and 2.0 compatible.
