EC: UniStream Platform
Hardware - Integrated HMI controllers: UniStream from Unitronics is an all-in-one, modular system that combines powerful dual-core CPUs—faster scan time, up to 2,048 I/Os over 2 MB of operand memory—excellent HMI touch panels, and effortless local and remote I/O installation. This is a Control Engineering 2014 Engineers’ Choice award winner.
Unitronics is proud to announce the launch of their new generation of control products: the UniStream platform. This new line is a result of over 20 years of PLC development experience combined with the strongest trends in automation. UniStream is at the top of its class with a combination of powerful dual CPU (faster scan time, up to 2,048 I/Os over 2 MB of operand memory), a variety of high quality HMI touch panels, and effortless local and remote I/O installation. Customize your all-in-one controller by snapping in a CPU to an HMI and adding I/O. The UniStream now gives OEMs or systems integrators a competitive edge in efforts to cut costs, save space and significantly lower programming time.
UniStream provides programmers and customers one of the best user experiences in the market today. The intuitive UniLogic studio software cuts programming time by 50%, by predicting programmer's intentions and reusing written code. Programmers build a library of user defined function blocks and HMI screens that can be imported to new projects or shared. The software's predictions save significant time on definitions of I/O points, PIDs etc. The drag and drop, automatic line creation and re-use options of existing code make programming quick and easy.
Another Unitronics paradigm change is UniApps. UniApps are an expanding library of value added PLC embedded apps. UniApps can reach your data, edit it, monitor, troubleshoot, debug your system and more. As required in today's world, Unistream can be accessed remotely via PC and smartphones.
UniStream supports RS485, CANopen, UniCAN, MODBUS (serial and Ethernet). Unistream can adapt to third-party protocols; USB and serial ports support external devices such as modems, printers, barcode readers etc.
As always, Unitronics provides all software and technical support for free.
