Tulsa, Okla. – To give users more real-time data and related savings, eLynx Technologies LLC unveiled April 2 its DataDOC, a web-based field automation tool for the oil and gas industries. DataDOC provides instant information about oil and gas well production, including flow rates, temperatures, pressures and tank levels. The information is transmitted to eLynx’s data center, and can be viewed securely via the Internet.

‘With DataDOC, our clients can log on and get all the information they need about their wells anytime they need it,’ says John Powers, eLynx’s business development vp. ‘This translates into reduced travel time for field personnel and less downtime for each well, which in turn translates into cost savings.’

Besides collecting real-time information, DataDOC delivers alarm notifications of electronic flowmeter (EFM) data, tank levels and compressor shutdowns. Users can set alarm limits and designate primary and secondary notification paths. Alarms can be delivered via alpha pagers, e-mail or messaging cell phones. DataDOC is compatible with major flow computers, including ABB TotalFlow, Flow Automation, Fisher, Eagle Research and Bristol Babcock. The system takes just minutes to install.
