Control Engineering Launches Engineering Education Center

Education site launches with Machine Control module. Additional modules to be launched in first quarter of 2010.


The EngineeringEducation Centerhas been officially launched by ControlEngineering . The site has been designed as a means to connect engineersworking with automation and controls to a variety of relevant tutorial andeducational media, such as videos, presentations, Webcasts, and white papers.To visit the site, clickhere .

Control Engineering

Since its inception in 1954, Control Engineering hasbeen recognized as the premier source for engineering tutorials covering anarray of automation and control topics, from loop tuning to mechatronics. The Engineering Education Centerprovides a structure for delivering educational materials in a way that makesit easy for engineers to locate this material on the Internet.

"Surveys showed that 75% of the visitors coming to the Control Engineering Websitewere seeking educational materials," said David Greenfield, editorial directorof Control Engineering . "By developing the Engineering EducationCenter, we're able to providevisitors with the tutorials they seek in an easy-to-navigate format."

The Engineering Education site will house educationalmaterials on a variety of automation and control topics. Among the firstsubject matter modules planned for the site include: Machine Control, ProcessControl, Industrial Networking, and Sustainable Engineering.

Launching with Machine Control as the first functionalmodule, the EngineeringEducation Centerwill debut content in additional modules in the first quarter of 2010.
