Emerson Syncade Smart Operations Management Suite integrates data

Orlando, FL – Emerson Process Management has introduced the Syncade smart operations management suite, a modular, scalable suite real-time production management software that integrates real-time intelligent plant-floor data with procedural, off-line and transactional plant business processes, decisions and asset management into Emerson’s PlantWeb digital plant architecture.
Announcing the system at the ARC Strategy Forum on Feb. 2, 2008, Emerson said the suite uses Microsoft.Net framework-based software to deliver ISA95 Level 3 standards-based functionality.
Syncade smart operation management suite is centered on four modules: resource management, operations optimization, integrated information, and quality and compliance.

The resource management module is designed to optimize material conversion and eliminate the use of unsuitable material to reduce waste and rework.
The suite’s Operations Optimization module focuses on coordination and easy access to order management, material weighing/addition/traceability status, equipment state/cleaning/calibration tracking, product sampling and adjustment, electronic procedural control and data collection.
Quality and Compliance are handled by Syncade via online storage, change control, automatic routing, version management, and archived records management.
The Syncade Suite’s Integrated Information module is said to coordinate “handshaking” functions between existing plant systems and electronically guiding manual processes.
