Enea joins AUTOSAR Alliance


Enea , a leader in device software for telecommunications, medical, and automotive applications, announced that it has joined the Automotive Open Systems Architecture (AUTOSAR) industry alliance. AUTOSAR alliance is a global partnership of leading automotive manufacturers and system suppliers, formed in July 2003, to provide a standard framework for automotive basic software, functional interfaces, management, and integration methodology.

As an associate member, Enea will support the alliance’s work to establish an open standard for automotive electric/electronic architecture. It will also work to provide AUTOSAR-compliant interfaces for Enea’s EE-Auto real-time (RT) automobile software platform. EE-Auto's family of RTOSs share a common applications programming interface (API) and development environment to provide an optimal platform for hosting distributed automobile applications that span diverse networks of microcontrollers, digital signal processors, and 32-bit microprocessors, says Enea.

AUTOSAR Core partners include leading automotive manufacturers BMW Group, DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Co., General Motors, PSA Peugeot Citroen, Toyota Motor Corp., and Volkswagen, as well as leading automotive system suppliers Bosch, Continental, and Siemens VDO.
