The energy management starter (EMS) from Cerus Industrial Inc. features BACnet and utility-grade power metering for building automation systems. It is designed to work with HVAC fans, pumps, and other equipment, and it also features an externally accessible keypad and LCD display, which avoids unnecessary contact with potentially live electrical components. The EMS accepts dry (on/off) or voltage inputs for activation by control systems without requiring interposing relays. The product provides kWh information and instantaneous kW metering, accurate to 1%. A wide range of electronic overload conditions (class 1 to 30) and voltage operation (120 to 600 VAC) is supported.
