Enhanced platform, vertical hardware

Experion PKS R300 includes a redesign of Honeywell’s automation and control platform hardware and new embedded cyber-security technology. Featuring an automated backup-and-restore capability, the system can automate complex procedures to improve user efficiency. It also introduces Series C optionally redundant process input-output (I/O device) family, said to use a new vertical design that reduces wiring and maintenance costs because competing systems are 5% to 75% larger. Vertical-packing concept extends to the controller and Fieldbus Interface Module, which gives a smaller and higher-performance package.
