Environmental control systems validation services available from Honeywell ACS

Phoenix, Ariz. - Honeywell Automation & Control Solutions Service (ACS) announced on May 20, 2002 the addition of environmental control systems validation services to its portfolio of compliance solutions for regulated manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and biomedical products fields.

Phoenix, Ariz. – Honeywell Automation & Control Solutions Service (ACS) announced on May 20, 2002 the addition of environmental control systems validation services to its portfolio of compliance solutions for regulated manufacturers in the pharmaceutical and biomedical products fields. The services help customers document that their automation systems perform as expected in compliance with Current Good Manufactur-ing Practices including Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 11. Services under the platform include helping customers to:

develop a validation plan;

design and implement qualification protocols;

document standard operating procedures;

and, perform required calibration and maintenance to ensure equipment remains in a validated state.

Honeywell’s approach to validation services encourages customers to consider validation as an ongoing process. It begins with the writing of functional and design specifications for maintaining factors such as temperature, humidity, pressure, control, monitoring and surveillance.

It continues through the development and documentation of standard operating procedures in vendor and system qualification, communications protocols, change control, disaster recovery, training, maintenance planning and electronic signatures. Training and qualification of staff are conducted and documented. Ongoing support is provided through calibration services, uniformity studies, system maintenance and other compliance support.
