Adlink’s cPCU-6840 is a universal cPCI board, usable in CompactPCI peripheral or system slots.

Adlink Technology Inc .’s newest CompactPCI 6U CPU board—designated cPCI-6840—combines Intel ’s Pentium M (high-performance, low-power) processor with 855GME Chipset graphics memory controller hub and 63000ESB I/O controller hub (both from Intel). Pentium M reportedly outperforms other processors operating at the same clock speed.

The graphics memory controller integrates a 250 MHz, 32-bit 3D/2D graphics engine that can support CRT and flat-panel displays simultaneously, while the I/O controller includes various peripherals like Serial ATA 150, PATA, USB 2.0, watchdog timer, and serial port. Three, Gigabit Ethernet ports are provided on the CPU board for data-intensive applications. Two PMCs (mezzanine cards) on a 64 bit PCI-X bus supply the connection for additional high-speed peripheral or processing modules. An Ultra-320 SCSI PMC is an optional card.

CompactPCI interface on the cPCI-6840 board supports PCI and PCI-X protocols, 32/64-bit data, and 33/66 MHz clock speeds. This CPU board complies with various PICMG Specifications: [2.0] R3.0 CompactPCI; [2.1] R2.0 Hot Swap; [2.3] R1.0 PMC I/O; [2.9] R1.0 System Management; and [2.16] R1.0 Packet Switching Backplane. The board supports multiple DVI, LVDS, and CRT displays.

cPCI-6840 is available from stock with OEM volume discounts. Adlink Technology states that all its motherboards come with a two-year warranty and 30-day money back guarantee.
