PowerDNA cubes have been upgraded to include a 4,000-MHz PowerPC processor. Processor is based on the 603e core and can perform 760 million floating-point instructions per second. I/O subsystems can be distributed using Ethernet. They contain a mixture of up to 144 analog or 288 digital I/O points in a compact, cubical, 4 x 4 x 4-in. or 6 x 4 x 4-in. enclosure. Cube doubles to 128 Mbytes the amount of 266-MHz double-data-rate random access memory it accommodates. Cube also accepts a secure-digital card for storing up to 4 Gbytes of data. A spring-loaded connector locks the card to the cube. www.ueidaq.com United Electronic Industries Inc.
