Ethernet video: Middleware upgrade

With edge assets and sensors being deployed in more situations, the problem of integrating all data is certain to gain momentum as a crucial networking need. The latest version of Augusta EdgeFrontier was recently introduced, described as a widely-deployed middleware for building and managing intelligent networks. EdgeFrontier is unique in its ability to integrate data various devices now connected to enterprise networks: video, radio frequency identification (RFID), and environmental. It’s said to be truly agnostic and can work with any incoming data no matter the source.

Augusta was recently awarded a $10 million contract by the U.S. Navy to enable a distributed, intelligent network of battlefield sensors and unmanned vehicles .
