Phoenix, Ariz. - Honeywell Industry Solutions announced April 8 that ExxonMobil Chemical has selected it to provide process control systems for a multi-year migration program at multiple facilities in North America and Europe. Honeywell PMX control systems, installed at ExxonMobil Chemical facilities in the 1970s and 1980s, will be replaced with Honeywell's next generation control technology now being developed.

'On-going business and technical relationships were two key factors that drove our decision to use Honeywell for this project,' says Ralph Herbert, ExxonMobil Chemical's vp of engineering and manufacturing services. 'This project will be accomplished within the framework of our existing ExxonMobil-Honeywell strategic business arrangement.'

'This represents another significant step in our longstanding business relationship with ExxonMobil. We are extremely pleased that a premier petrochemical company, such as ExxonMobil Chemical, selected Honeywell as the technology and control systems provider for the PMX program,' says Jerry Walker, Honeywell's business development vp.
