ExxonMobil gives testing group safety performance award

Princeton Junction, NJ — Conam Inspection & Engineering Services , part of Mistras Group Inc. , received an Excellence in Safety Performance Award from ExxonMobil’s Baytown Refinery. Conam’s Houston, TX, facility was given the award, which is presented to contractors who meet hazard elimination goals, consistently attend monthly safety meetings, and demonstrate a strong safety program. Conam was one of the top four out of 89 contractors selected by ExxonMobil for the award.

Conam’s nondestructive testing and inspection group provides a range of inspection, training, QA/QC services, and proprietary inspection software. The Mistras Group also provides nondestructive testing products and services under the brand names of Physical Acoustics Corporation, Code Services, Quality Services Laboratories, Caliber Inspection, PRI, NDT Automation, and Vibra-Metrics. Mistras is also a provider of Enterprise Solution Software that aids in the operation of industrial facilities worldwide.

Conam provides quality control services for nondestructive testing to a variety of industries. According to Nick Sowa, vice president of sales and marketing, the company aims to integrate new technologies with conventional testing methods to assure the integrity of industrial materials and components as cost effectively and safely as possible.
