On-line registration is now open for FABTECH, North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event that will be held in Las Vegas on Nov. 12-14, 2012. The event will attract more than 25,000 manufacturers to the Las Vegas Convention Center to view 1,100 exhibits, including live equipment demonstrations covering more than 400,000 sq ft of floor space. Simultaneously, the FABTECH educational conference will offer unique insights and expert speakers who will discuss today’s hottest topics in manufacturing.

FABTECH will feature several special events including a panel discussion with Washington, D.C. government relations experts on how the presidential and congressional election results will impact U.S. manufacturing; a special roundtable with five manufacturing CEOs on “The State of the Industry: Manufacturers’ Executive Outlook”; a Workshop on Lean Manufacturing for Managers; and, various new product presentations.

FABTECH has also created some great networking events, including a special Happy Hour on the show floor and a “Cocktails and Comedy” event. Also, everyone is invited to FABTECH’s inaugural RUN4MFG 5K that will be held in the streets of Las Vegas. Runners and sponsors will have the opportunity to donate to four different charitable organizations supporting manufacturing.

Attendees can stay connected with FABTECH with the new official FABTECH app for the iPhone, iPad and Android devices. The app includes a complete list of exhibitors and show floor map, product search, education session schedule, local information, show alerts and updates during the show. There is also a web-based version of the app for all other web browser-enabled smartphones. The app can be downloaded by searching “FABTECH” in the Apple Store and Android Market or on the FABTECH website.

The five FABTECH co-sponsors represent a wide variety of expertise and include: the American Welding Society (AWS), the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), and the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI).
