The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces the UNO-2173A and UNO-2173AF fanless box PCs with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom-based CPUs. These models are equipped with Gigabit Ethernet ports, rich I/O support, 1 x Mini-PCIe socket for WLAN and 3G solutions, and Moblin (Mobile Linux) support. Both have passed the Energy Star certification for low power consumption, and also feature IP40 anti-dust protection and wide operating temperature range (-20 °C to 70 °C). Advantech not only provides energy efficient ac/dc power units, but also power-saving features such as increased dc/dc power conversion efficiency and reduced standby power consumption. The units provide various operating efficiency modes like off, sleep and idle, so users can experience up to 50% reduced energy consumption through these devices, according to the company. The UNO-2173A features a single-side I/O, onboard DDR2 SDRAM, Gigabit Ethernet port, VGA, two RS-232 ports, two USB ports, internal printer port, CompactFlash slot, and built-in 2.5-in. SATA HDD/SDD bracket for storage. The UNO-2173AF has dual side I/O slots, including the same ports as the UNO-2173A and also a low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) port, backlight control port, 5.1 channel HD audio, additional RS-422/485 port, three additional USB ports, and one internal USB pin head.
