Fastest failover time: Industrial managed Gigabit Ethernet switch
Korenix Industrial Gigabit managed switch JetNet 5010G has 7.4 Gbps wire-speed forwarding rate and supports rapid super ring (recovery time &30ms).
Shing Tien City, Taipei, Taiwan —JetNet 5010G industrial Gigabit managed switch series from Korenix has three combo Gigabit ports plus 7-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet, with the fastest failover time in the world, the company says, at less than 30 ms. The industrial automation switch features enhanced redundancy, high security, and full network management.
For critical, non-stop for industrial applications, JetNet 5010G supports rapid super ring technology, with the fastest failover time in the world, less than 30 milliseconds. [Repeats what was just said above] Up to 20 units connect in a Gigabit fiber ring topology. Advanced dual-homing technology also facilitates the JetNet 5010G to connect with the core managed switch via standard rapid spanning tree protocol. To increase link availability and capacity, it has IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation control protocol (LACP), allowing it to negotiate an automatic port bundling dynamically between switches. Two or more Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet connections combined can increase bandwidth and create resilient and redundant links. It allows two power inputs for power redundancy and wide power range, 12-48 V dc.
The JetNet 5010G has three combo Gigabit ports, each Gigabit port combining a small form factor plug-in SFP (mini-GBICs port to accommodate 1000Base-SX, 1000Base-LX, or 100Base-FX connectivity) and a RJ45 Gigabit copper port. The switch will automatically detect the Gigabit cable connections priority for each Gigabit port. Users can connect two Gigabit ports of JetNet 5010G as a Gigabit Redundant Ring topology and the third Gigabit port as an uplink to Gigabit Ethernet backbone or Gigabit Ethernet device.
It can be configured by SNMP, console CLI, or Web browser. Network administrators can define event notification to be informed via e-mail, SNMP trap, system log, or relay output. To optimize network bandwidth management, network administrators can also segment ports into different VLANs, or use IGMP Snooping to manage multicast traffic. It has a built-in watchdog timer and performs a warm boot (restarting the switch) automatically when the switch's system locks up, saving maintenance efforts.
Korenix products have 5-yr global warranty through worldwide service centers. Tailor-made services are available.
